STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Because Eastland students are academically challenged, they achieve. Our students have received many regional and state honors in the FACCS competitions. These include various competitions with other schools in the areas of spelling, creative writing and fine arts competitions. It is no wonder then that in standardized achievement testing, ECS students consistently perform at least one year above the national level.

A thorough education takes the Eastland student beyond a classroom setting and gives an opportunity to interact with others in a practical manner. Students carry these leadership roles further as they serve in their respective churches and in the community.
Chapel
All students participate in the joy of spiritually enriched chapel service each week.
Pride of Country
Through Patriotism Day and other learning experiences throughout the school year, emphasis is placed upon the greatness of America’s heritage and the sacrifice of her heroes. Students are prepared to take their place in an effective manner in the home, church and state.
There is so much more to an Eastland education! We invite you to explore these pages further to learn more about our academic programs by grade level.
Curriculum
A quality education begins with the curriculum, and Eastland proudly utilizes both the ABeka and Bob Jones University programs. The strength of ABeka’s thorough curriculum is its emphasis on phonics, reading and mathematics, which many believe to be of a higher standard than that used in most public school standards. All of the materials are Christian-based. With the Bob Jones University curriculum, subjects are also taught from a biblical viewpoint, with an emphasis on the practical and logical aspects of learning, doing and experiencing. The materials help students understand and evaluate what they read, solve problems, write with conviction and clarity and enable teachers to address the students’ unique needs.
Falculty
The personal commitment of Eastland’s faculty provides a strong atmosphere of learning, discipline and sharing of Christian values. All teachers are certified in their respective area of teaching, and strive to give that “extra help” and encouragement when needed by their students. Because Eastland’s standards for faculty are exceptional, we are especially proud to have several former students on the Eastland staff. Eastland parents are encouraged to participate in regular Parent-Teacher Fellowships each grading period, and special parent-teacher conferences are welcomed.
